2013 Visual Open Call: M!RA Festival in Barcelona

MiRA Festival is pleased to announce the 2013 edition of OPEN CALL, aimed at visual creation and designed for individual artists and groups who want to exhibit their work in the Festival in November.

Raquel Meyers and the Teletext transmission

Raquel Meyers (Cartagena, 1977) works with low-res graphics and photography for performance, web, video and installations. Currently she's experimenting with storytelling and text mode visuals (ASCII, PETSCII, etc) together with the musician Goto80. In September this year Raquel Meyers participated in Teletext festival ARD in Berlin.

Byob. Bring Your Own Beamer

In our case BYOB means Bring Your Own Beamer. It is a new format of itinerant exhibition in which space is transformed for one day in a digital version of a nineteenth-century picture gallery. By using a projector local artists are invited to show everything that could fall within the definition of image motion: from a Skype video call to a photoshop screen to a performance with Finder.

Muv Festival 2011

La settima edizione di Muv, festival di musica elettronica ed arti digitali, si svolgerà a Firenze dal 1 al 5 giugno 2011. Il programma, realizzato da Associazione Culturale Muv e Intooitiv organizzazione eventi, prenderà forma all'interno dell'esclusiva cornice della Limonaia di Villa Strozzi.

Lunchmeat Festival

Lunchmeat festival: to turn Prague into one of the European centres of audio-visual art. As last year, March in Prague will be about visual art and electronic music. The second year of the festival will be held during 18 – 20 March. The headline musicians are Luke Abbott (Border Community), Teebs (Brainfeeder) and King Cannibal (Ninja Tune). The headline visualizers are the Spanish group NiñoViejo or the inventor of the VJ software Modul8, Boris Edelstein.
