Monochord - Contradictions [1011AD]
Monochord presents Contradictions EP: Four tracks combine the rhythm patterns of house music with sounds of 80’s electro in a minimal and playful production.
Behind the Monochord moniker stands San Paolo’s George Alveskog. George has
also released as Quirckstench and performed live as Einstein on the Beach at nights
including D-Edge, Lov.E, Motronic and File 2005. George started writing music at a very
young age of fifteen as well as he studied the guitar. In 2001 he finished a Sound
Engineering course at the Audio & Video Institute in São Paulo and is producing mostly
house and experimental electronic music.

Fourth Yuki Yaki Release
6 electro tracks by Scaff
Scaffs love for patch calbles and his discontent with modern technics lead him back to the achievements of the 70ies and 80ies: analogous modular systems.
Using them he produces fresh sounds bound into a modern context. His tracks are always unicums being generated live with no further editing. This form of production leads to unique landscapes of an ever modulating sound and beats that seem to want to wind into the ears of the listener.
The “Knobs and Jacks” e.p. is a snapshot of his studioworks.

dorntec, known as da man with the brain-surrounding melodies, sends us some older tracks, tasting like amon tobin or boards of canada. downbeat from the nineties, but no kinky sounds. everytime deep pads and electric sounds. with the release “ninja”, dorntec delivers sounds from nature, build together to a soundtrack for an unwritten movie. if there would exist a film to it, i would like to watch. loveliest track: ninja- with some funny fighting-sounds.

Yes, that ´s a great piece of music. Once i said to Yoursck: “Go to Warp with ya stuff…”, than i thought about what i said and further told him not to do, because i would like to release his first lp on vinyl. But now, one more time for free, a new great atmospherical full length record by yoursck. This boy found his style, ambientathmo, mixed with ill-beats and very nice melodies- some danceable breaks and very stylish noises from nature, build together to a warm swamp of joy.
The record comes with a remix by Florian Filsinger, who everytime beats the odds to press a song in his personal technoid-skirt.
