DIFFERENT LOCATIONS - PARIS

Since 2006, Mal au Pixel festival is looking at connecting technology, urban electronics and social transformation issues, and to investigate our contemporary beliefs. The festival brings together young digital artists and unconventionnal electronics : unexpected technologies, prototypes and open ended events.

For its fifth edition, Mal au Pixel further explores environmental issues and looks at the signals coming from the South, through initiatives from the worldwide DIY community.

On this year the festival is run by artkillart non profit organisation, with Ars Longa, la GÈnÈrale Nord Est, and the galleries Nuitdencre, BenJ and Mycroft, a circuit in the XIth arrondissement of Paris.

Also host by Eof gallery for the opening event and le 104 for a 2-days seminar, in addition to lives at La Java, at le Chat Noir and friendly DJ breaks at Udo bar...

In the program :

- new works from Europe, India, d'Indonesia, Congo...

- participative projects, with the refarm the city community of urban electronic gardeners and the big scale game by Ykon

- a seminar presenting worldwide initiatives in art & independant medialabs and conferences digging radical ecology

- a club event at la Java on June 24 and many sound performances on June 20, 25 and 26.
