RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE - NEW YORK

30 APRIL - 2 MAY 2010

From Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2, 2010, EMPAC will host the second collaboration with the London-based onedotzero_adventures in motion festival. Comprised of screenings as well as live a/v performances, interactive installations, animation and music videos, the event is a weekend-long celebration of the moving image that's guaranteed to inspire, provoke, and delight.

Back-to-back screenings of onedotzero's latest compilation programs shown over the entire weekend creates the foundation for the festival and another reason to stick around the building until the wee hours – and then come back to do it again the next day!

Other highlights of the weekend include:

Diplo

A live performance by DJ superstar Diplo with a cadre of the area's best VJs.

AntiVJ

Music by minimal techno artist Sleeparchive. Installation version on view throughout the weekend.

Brian Alfred
Saturday, May 1 + Sunday, May 2
A video installation by Brian Alfred whose work is inspired by his interest in globalization, civil unrest, political and social opposition, and influential figures and locations. The animation features multiple soundtracks by musicians Flying Lotus, Ghislain Poirier, Roberto Carlos Lange, and many others.
