Lottavo progetto del SMoCA's southwestNET series, si concentra sulla più innovative discipline artistiche che utilizzano le nuove tecnologie da parte di Mark Amerika/ Rick Silva/ Nathaniel Wojtalik (Boulder, Colorado); David Birchfeild/ Loren Olsen (Tempe, Arizona); Natalie Jerimeijenko (La Jolla, California); Yves Amu Klein (Scottsdale, Arizona); Lucy Petrovich (Tucson, Arizona) e Tristan Shone (La Jolla, California).
Per aprire l'esibizione southwestNET: techno, il 17 Diembre 2005, l'artista Rick Silva presenterà l'evento internazionale di blog jam chiamato 24 Hour Count. Al suo fianco la collaborazione artistica di Mark Amerika (a Sydney, Australia) e Nathaniel Wojtalik (a Boulder, Colorado), che insieme a Silva registreranno, mixeranno e interpreteranno eventi molto attuali delle nostre vite per mezzo delle tecnologie come mobile phones, digital video, mini-disk recorders, strumenti musicali e moltissimi programmi software per computer. Nel momento stesso quindi in cui gli artisti registrano immagini, suoni e altre informazioni, essi se li inviano reciprocamente nella forma di messaggi digitali in un continuo missaggio di suoni, immagni e testi, come dei Dj multimediali. Ora dopo ora, il mix verrà postato in un blog, che documenterà quindi la live session.
