After a successful interconnection of the VJ scene with the annual hacker conference Chaos Communication Congress in the past, OpenAirVIT in 2003 at the Chaos Communication Camp near Berlin, AVIT^c3 in 2004 and the cooperation of the new born local video artists association VC Visual Berlin last year, the international visualist gathering will take place in Berlin again at this years 23C3 event in late december.

Staged at the center point of the 23C3's Art & Beauty exhibits hall and with access to the conference and workshop rooms and in cooperation with the art gallery M12, AViT>C23 will be producing a programme drawn solely from the audiovisualist artist community's input.

Besides moving imagery galore exploring the vast variety of the artform called “VJing”, AViT>C23 will offer an equally wide theoretical and technical range of examination of technique, form and content of live video art.

A mélange of different workshops and lectures presented by the artists will cover technical aspects just as well as dealing with the status quo and the future of audiovisual art. Besides the educational and showcase programme, AViT>C23 acts as meeting point and platform for exchange and discussion between the artists themselves and with the audience.

AViT>C23 is proud to welcome visualists from Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, United Kingdom and the United States of America to make this event an international conference in the unique AViT tradition .

AViT>C23 is hosted and organised by VC Visual Berlin in cooperation with M12 , c-base and the CCC .
