Vectors è una rivista online multimediale e ipertestuale che si pone l'obbiettivo di essere osservatorio delle pratiche di vita quotidiana nel contesto dell'era digitale, focalizzandosi su temi come il sociale, la politica e gli aspetti culturali delle nostre esistenze tecnologicamente mediate.

Operando sul punto di intersezione tra cultura, cretività e tecnologia, il giornale si concentra sulle differenti forme tecnologiche esistenti, sulle trasformazioni, sulle riconfigurazioni e sulle relazioni passate e presenti consentite dalle nuove tecnologie

Queste interconnessioni non sono semplicemente tematiche e contenutistiche. Essendo il magazine costruito con tecnologie multimediali in Rete, è possibile ricerare un secondo ordine di analisi tra lavori espressamente commissionati, corretti in modalità condivisa e sotto la guida di un vero e proprio international board. I lavori che vengono proposti nel magazine comprendono immagini in movimento, immagini fisse, voce, musica, suono, strutture interattive, software senza per questo dimenticare il linguaggio testuale seppur nella sua rigidità, anzi fondendolo con quello puramente multimediale.

Vectors è quindi un giornale, pubblicato da USC Annenberg Center for Communication a Los Angeles. Il primo numero uscito a fine marzo racchiude otto progetti sotto la tematica comune chiamata Evidence. Tutti i lavori sono quindi linkati tra loro graficamente e concettualmente nel cosidetto Vector Space, la sezione interattiva del giornale dove i lettori/visitatori potranno disegnare delle linee-vettori per illuminare le intersezioni tra i vari contributi.
