Un progetto di Alterazioni Video

 

In occasione del centenario dalla scoperta dei fotoni ( quanti di luce ) e della definizione della teoria della relatività di Albert Einstein, Alterazioni Video presenta l'installazione: Photons .

Le immagini che compongono l'installazione sono state girate nel laboratorio del Dipartimento di Fisica Sperimentale Applicata della Frei Universitat di Berlino durante alcuni esperimenti eseguiti dal fisico dott. Markus Guehr. Le attività del laboratorio sono rivolte essenzialmente allo studio delle proprietà dei fotoni: lo staff del dott. Markus Guehr, isolando dei fotoni in una soluzione chimica a bassissima temperatura, è riuscito a registrare le vibrazioni dei fotoni sottoforma di ultrasuoni. In seguito stimolando un fotone con gli ultrasuoni registrati, sono riusciti a generare un secondo fotone esattamente uguale al primo.

La luce si trasforma in suono e il suono in luce…

Grazie alla disponibilità del laboratorio, Alterazioni Video ha avuto la possibilità di filmare e manipolare i laser e gli strumenti di ricerca al fine di realizzarne una performance musicale. Il risultato è un viaggio immersivo nei territori di confine tra arte e scienza dove il metodo scientifico della ricerca applicata incontra il metodo di esplorazione e rielaborazione tipico del linguaggio artistico contemporaneo. Uno spazio di incontro tra arte, pubblico e scienza dove esplorare le connessioni e le relazioni reciproche.

L'obbiettivo di Alterazioni Video e' di creare, attraverso le nuove tecnologie ed i linguaggi sperimentali, dei territori del contemporaneo, situazioni e strategie di insinuazione nel reale. Parallelamente a questa attività Alterazioni Video ha legato la sua produzione con l'ambito cinematografico e teatrale.

Il gruppo è composto da Paololuca Barbieri Marchi, Alberto Caffarelli, Matteo Erenbourg, Andrea Masu e Giacomo Porfiri.
