A parte il successo del movimento tutto nostrano Italian Telestreet, alcune delle potenzialità della tv di strada sono state messe in onda ad Amsterdam, grazie al successo e all'attività di Outloud Tv (http://webserver.outloud.tv), un progetto nato dal dipartimento di Art Media and Technlogy della Scuola di Arte di Utrech in Olanda.

Il sistema messo in atto da Outloud TV è fondamentalmente un "cross media jukebox", che consente alle persone di uploadare sul server di Outloud dei clips via internet, ma che poi vengono trasmessi in chiaro anche su Salto Tv, canale televisivo di Amsterdam, dove i telespettatori possono determinare il limite minimo o massimo con cui i clips vengono riprodotti votandoli. I clips stessi sono ovviamente anche fruibili sul web.

Il progetto nacque nel 2003, quando a un gruppo di studenti venne chiesto di creare un sistema chiamato Pause Tv per il canale televisivo di Amsterdam, Salto Tv per l'appunto, per irempire gli spazi tra un programma e l'altro. L'idea fu quella di riempire questo spazio previsto tra i programmi mediante un sistema televisivo semi-automatico. Il risultato fu appunto Outloud Tv che oggi rappresenta probabilmente uno dei maggiori successi di fusione tra Tv di strada grass-root e canali televisivi aperti e web.

In questi mesi di trasmissione, Outloud Tv è riuscita a creare un archivio già piuttosto ampio di clip, al punto che sembra essere arrivato il momento di affrontare un radicale cambiamento, trasformando la piattaforma da "semplice" Tv di strada a vero e proprio progetto open-content sullo stile Wikipedia, ma da un punto di vista video. Sfruttando quindi le possibilità offerte dalla linea cablata cittadina, Outloud Tv potrebbe in futuro mettere a disposizione il proprio data base di immagini e video, come modello di "moving image collaboration" fluido, cross e aperto.
