Incontro-conferenza questa sera al DidStudio di Milano sul tema corpo e tecnologia intitolato Sinestesie, organizzato dall'associazione Ariella Vidach all'interno del nuovo spazio milanese per la ricerca, la formazione e la produzione della danza contemporanea in relazione alle nuove tecnologie situato all'interno della Fabbrica del Vapore.

Con questo appuntamento si chiude il primo ciclo di seminari-conferenze dedicato all'arte interattiva digitale e alle sue applicazioni nell'ambito delle performing arts che ha visto la presenza di artisti di fama internazionale come Klaus Obermaier, Christopher Lindinger e Marcel Lì Antúnez Roca.

Protagonista di quest'ultimo incontro è l'artista e coreografa canadese Marie Chouinard, definita dalla critica ‘ femme sauvage du Quebec' per il suo stile coreografico apparentemente rude e selvaggio. Marie Chouinard ha vissuto a New York, Berlino, Bali e in Nepal: i suoi viaggi, la sua curiosità, gli studi eclettici e la conoscenza di molteplici tecniche espressive le hanno permesso di esplorare il corpo sotto diversi punti di vista.

In poco più di venticinque anni di attività ha realizzato una cinquantina di performance, coreografie – solistiche e di gruppo - e installazioni spaziando dalla regia teatrale a quella video, dall'ideazione di costumi alla composizione musicale e alla passione per la fotografia e per la scrittura. Con l'interattività ha lavorato accostandosi alla composizione sonora in tempo reale in diversi lavori dell'ultimo periodo, come il bellissimo assolo Etude #1 appositamente ideato per Lucie Mongrain nel 2001 e l'installazione interattiva Cantique no.3 , presentata con successo al Monaco Dance Forum 2004.

L'incontro-conferenza (ore 20.30), presieduto da Marinella Guatterini (critico e docente di estetica della danza) e impostato sotto forma di “intervista critica”, vuole essere un'occasione per approfondire il tema della relazione tra corpo e tecnologia attraverso la presentazione e l'analisi poliedrica delle produzioni più significative dell'artista. Il programma della serata prevede la proiezione di alcuni estratti video in veste di supporto visivo alla discussione.
