SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE ROMEMBERG - FRANCOFORTE

Prosegue incessante l'attività artistica (e promozionale) del poliedrico artista Carsten Nicolai, considerato da gran parte di critici e pubblico, come uno dei più alti esponenti di una generazione di artisti che ricerca mediante i propri lavori, le eventuali commistioni tra art, natura e scienza.

A seguito quindi delle sue partecipazioni a importanti manifestazioni internazionali incentrate sui nuovi media, come il Documenta e la Biennale di Venezia, lo Schirn Kunsthalle di Francoforte omaggia il producer fondatore della label di elettronica Raster Noton con una personale dei suoi lavori prevalentemente audiovisivi, all'interno della quale saranno anche presentati alcuni nuovi lavori dell'artista.

La produzione di Carsten Nicolai, sin dagli esordi è sempre stata caratterizzata dalle sue esplorazioni sia in campo visivo che in quello sonoro. Forse più famoso e apprezzato per le sue produzioni musicali con lo pseudonimo di Alva Noto, Nicolai non ha mai disdegnato e anzi approfondito il rapporto tra suoni, immagini e natura. Le sue installazioni audiovisive quindi sono sempre state caratterizzate da un'estetica minimalista che esalta ed enfatizzail rapporto tra tecnologia e natura, sempre con grande semplicità ed eleganza.

La mostra verrà infine valorizzata con la pubblicazione di un catalogo che sarà in vendita da aprile 2005
